This review assumes that your idea of a good time does not include putting yourself through extreme dullness in an attempt to shut your own brain down.I was given this game for free quite some time ago and thought that AT THE VERY LEAST it would be funny seeing how bad it was. The game starts off with your character of choice docking on some space station or huge ship(I honestly cannot remember any more) and finds the very first crewman they encounter dead in a pool of his own blood, something which all the characters respond to by saying "Darn, He can't give me a security pass any more." to themselves.As you sluggishly push onwards without your security pass you are introduced to your first enemies as you predictably anger every security robot on the ship(and the crewmen who are now zombies) and quickly discover that the entire gameplay, combat or not, is just holding down the left mouse button until whatever issue at hand is resolved by... mostly just waiting for your character to VERY slowly run or shoot the problem away.There doesn't appear to be any interesting loot of any sort and the areas don't change with each playthrough either.. COOP will not work so don't bother. almost like a Diablo-esque sci-fi dungeon crawler, interesting... crossing my fingers for a sequal.. There is nothing more unintuitive than the control scheme in this game. Have you played a twin stick shooter? If you use your keyboard you would expect to move wi WASD right? Well in Greed , you dodge with WASD and instead move Diablo style , by clicking. That would have been ok , if they made a game like diablo , but you need to keep your crosshair on the enemy and keep pressing the mouse button to shoot. Not only that but if you want to shoot at destructible objects you need to hold down the shift key , otherwise your character just walks over to the object. This might have been an OK twin stick shooter , or an ok point and click ARPG , but its neither. The awkward combination between ARPG controls and twin stick shooter gameplay does not work at all. I dont know if its different members of the dev team had different vision about the game or something or if the development was cut short and they just figured "hey we need a control sheme ASAP lets slap something on!"Just patch it , maybe add controller support and it might turn into a decent game. But I guess devs abandoned the idea long ago.. People were right, this is a turd. From the time I've played this game you fight generic enemies. Your shield takes forever to recharge. The big reason I stopped was because of bugs and problems with the game. First off, after one cutscene the game would not let me move, and clicking and pressing buttons did nothing, even if I pressed escape to the menu. So there I had to restart last checkpoint and it worked the next time. The final straw was when you step in the first checkpoint and it explains that they save your progress, I soon died after in a fire part that didn't make a lot of sense, and it started me all the way back at the start of the level, and I couldn't load the other checkpoint. And for such an apparently boring and uninspired sh!t game, I wasn't going to replay the same exact level for the THIRD time becaus the game has problems and can't work right even after all these years. Also you can't change graphics/difficulty/other settings in game, which is always sooo stupid. 4/10.. Nopedy nope.. Couldn't get coop to work with my friends no matter what we tried. Avoid it.. The biggest problem are the controls, or more precisely (pun intended) - shooting. Also, there is nothing original or new or whatever, so I don't know why would you waste time with it.But it's not a terrible game.
